Stay with me over night A conceptual theater work is created by XiaoKe in 2009. She tries to build up a new relationship between performer and audience in theater space, which is an experimental mixing up the two identities. Everyone in the piece is performer and audience also, sharing theater time with other people. All improvised actions are based on participator’s communication and self choice. Some material are prepared by XiaoKe for participator’s using, such as water, powder, sand, paper, bread and torch, each time has different element.       The whole process spends 10 hours in from midnight 0:00am to morning 10:00am, people who wants to join need to odder before by email or phone with XiaoKe. There is no tough requirement for participators in the 10 hours, if you want to sleep just sleep, if you want to dance just dance, if you want to try some new thing just try. Standing inside, it seems like a strangers’party; standing outside, it is a kind of social performance compared with normal life. XiaoKe overthrows the formal choreography, spreads the authority of creation and performance to every participator.   The premiere has launched in Shanghai Fringe Festival in 2009, which had done twice in an art & theater space. XiaoKe plan to improve this work in 2010 and look for new space collaborator such as gallery, hotel room or traditional stage.
